The Bexar County Emergency Services District No. 11 Board cordially invites you to the Grand Opening of its 1st Fire Facility serving the citizens of the District and surrounding areas. This service is staffed by the Kirby Fire Department. The event will be held at 4511 Texas Palm Drive, Converse, Texas 78109 on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Tours of the facility will be ongoing until noon. Refreshments will be served.
Year-Round Watering Restrictions are in effect as of October 2, 2018. Watering with an irrigation system or sprinkler is allowed any day of the week before 10:00am or after 8:00pm.
Volunteers Needed: The City of Kirby has 12 vacancy on the Beautification & Recycle Committee which meets every first Tuesday at 7:00pm, 2 vacancies on the Parks & Recreation Committee which meets every second Thursday at 6:00pm and 1 vacancy and 4 alternate vacancies on the Buildings & Standards Commission which meets quarterly or as needed. Phase III of the Binz-Engleman Project will begin Monday, December 3, 2018 and will last for approximately six weeks, during the working hours of 7AM to 5PM, excluding weekends and holidays. Phase III consist of concrete demo and replacement, as well as, street restoration from Charles Conrad Drive to Fred Haise Drive. Please DO NOT attempt to drive and/or park nor walk through these areas. We will NOT be responsible for any damages caused by your failure to cooperate with the above request. Weather permitting, Public Works will be sweeping area 4 on Mondays starting with December 3, 2018 and ending on December 31, 2018. The dates are as follows: December 3th, December 10th, December 17th and December 31st. Please refrain from parking in the street from 07:00 am- 03:30 pm on the assigned days.
