Denim Day is a day to raise awareness and show support for survivors of sexual assault. On this important day, we stand together to break the silence, show solidarity, and honor those who have experienced sexual violence.

Come to City Hall and take a photo with us as we show our commitment to ending sexual assault and supporting survivors. Wear your denim to show your support and be part of this powerful movement!

History of Denim Day: Denim Day was founded in 1999 after an Italian court overturned a rape conviction, citing that the victim’s jeans were too tight and that she must have helped her attacker remove them. As a protest, women in the California State Legislature wore denim, and the movement grew from there to raise awareness about sexual violence and victim-blaming.

Let’s wear our denim with pride and make a stand for survivors everywhere.

ATTENTION RESIDENTS:

Due to a water main break, water will be off for approximately 4 hours on Foxcross Dr. This will affect the following streets: Foxcross Dr., Shamrock St., and Crest Ln. Thursday, February 13, 2025.

Update: Water to all residents has been restored. Cul de sac at Foxcross Dr. and Shamrock St. will be closed off until Friday, February 14, 2025.

Kirby City Road Closures:

ATTENTION RESIDENTS:

On November 1, 2024, South Bound Traffic on Ackerman Road will be halted. Austin Bridge and Road will be conducting a traffic switch on Ackerman Road. The traffic switch will no longer allow any traffic to travel south bound towards I-10. The northbound lanes of Ackerman Road will be open for traffic traveling towards FM 78 on Ackerman Road.

Please heed all traffic control devices in place to ensure your safety during this switch.
