The Kirby Senior Center is located at 3211 Alan Shepard. The facility was constructed through the use of a $250,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) awarded by Bexar County. The center staff consists of a manager, part time assistant and drivers all overseen by a board of directors. The center’s programs are funded by various community grants.
Van service is available for Kirby seniors who want to come to the center for lunch and activities, please call ahead to 210-666-5124 to schedule a ride!
The Kirby Senior Center Transportation Program provides travel to and from not only KSC (for seniors that are not Kirby residents) but doctors’ appointments, other recreational destinations and for errands such as trips to the grocery store. This is accomplished through a partnership with the Presa Community Center who request a $5 fare for rides scheduled through their manifest.
Contributions are accepted and appreciated for this service!
