NOTICE OF GENERAL/SPECIAL ELECTION

To the Registered Voters of the City of Kirby, Texas:

Notice is hereby given that the polling places listed 
below will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., on May 
14,  2011, for voting in a general/special election to 
elect one (1) Mayor and three (3) Council Members and 
special election for the purpose of electing one (1) 
Council Member to fill an unexpired term, and for the 
purpose of reauthorization of the local sales and use tax 
in the City of Kirby Texas at the rate of one-fourth of 
one percent to continue providing revenue for maintenance 
and repair of municipal streets.
 
Notifiquese, por las presente, que las casillas 
electorales sitados abajo se abriran desde las 7:00 de la  
anana hasta las 7:00 p.m., el 14 de mayo, del 2011, para 
votar en la Eleccion General/Especial para elegir un (1) 
Alcalde, tres (3)  Miembros del Consejo y Eleccion 
Especial con el fin de elegir a un (1) Miembro de Consejo 
para llenar un termino no vencido, y para el fin del 
reauthorization de las ventas locales y del iimpuesto de 
uso en la Ciudad de Kirby, Tejas en el indice de un cuarto 
de un por ciento para continuar proporcionando el redito 
para mantenimento y la reparacion de calles municipales.

Early Voting by personal appearance will be conducted each 
weekday at Kirby City Hall, 112 Bauman, Kirby, Texas, 
78219, beginning on May 2, 2011, and ending on May 10, 
2011. The early voting hours will be from 8:00 o’clock 
a.m. to 6:00 o’clock p.m. on May 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, 2011, 
from 10:00 o’clock a.m. to 6:00 o’clock p.m. on May 7, Closed on May 8, 2011, and from 8:00 o’clock a.m. to 8:00 o’clock p.m. on May 9 and 10, 2011, as provided by applicable provisions of the Texas Election Code.
 
La votación anticipada en persona se hará todos los días 
de la semana empezando el 2 de mayo del 2011 y terminando 
el 6 de mayo del 2011, en el Palacio Municipal de Kirby, 
112 Bauman, Kirby, Texas, 78219.  En los días siguientes: 
2, 3, 4, 5, & 6 de mayo del 2011, la votación anticipada 
será en el horario de 8:00 a.m. a 6:00 p.m. y el 7 de mayo 
del 2011 la votación anticipada será en el horario de 10:00 a.m. a 6:00 p.m.,   9 de mayo 10 de mayo del 2011 la votación anticipada será en el horario de 8:00 a.m. a 8:00 p.m.
