screening of refuse containers in the C-1, C-2 and
LI districts, to provide a penalty for failure to
screen such containers, and to provide defenses to
prosecution of violations. This is the first
reading.

such as unpaid fines, fees, court costs, forfeited bonds, and restitution ordered paid by the Kirby Municipal Court serving the City, and amounts in cases which the accused has failed to appear.

b. and general fund budgets for the City of Kirby for

governing the Texas Municipal Retirement
System, “Updated Service Credits” in said system on
an annual basis for service performed by qualifying
members of such system who at the effective date of

service annuities for retirees and beneficiaries of
deceased retirees of the City; to increase the rate
of deposits to the Texas Municipal Retirement
System by the employees of the City; providing for
participation of the city in the supplemental death

System, to provide certain in-service death
benefits for employees, and death benefits for
annuitants whose last employment before retirement
was with the city, and establishing an effective

d. Discussion/possible action of Ordinance No. O-2007-
636 an ordinance of the City of Kirby repealing
Ordinance 92-486 regarding the speed limit on Swann
Lane and establishing a 25 mile per hour speed
limit on all streets within the City of Kirby,
Texas except Ackerman Road, Binz-Engleman Road,
Hedwig Street, Edalyn Street, Jaenke Street, Old
Seguin Road and State Highway 78, and providing for
penalties for violation of such 25 mile per hour
speed limit. This is the second reading.

e. Discussion/possible action of Ordinance No. O-2007-
637 adopting the 2006 Edition of the Uniform
Plumbing Code, Regulating and controlling the
design, construction, quality of materials,
erection, installation, alteration, repair,
location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use
or maintenance of any plumbing system, in the City
of Kirby; providing for the issuance of permits and
collection of fees therefore; providing for
enforcement and imposing penalties; repealing
provisions of Ordinance No. 596 of the City of
Kirby relating to the plumbing code and all other
ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict

f. Discussion/possible action of Ordinance No. O-2007-
638 of the City of Kirby, adopting the 2006 Edition
of the Uniform Mechanical Code, regulating and
controlling the design, construction, quality of
materials, erection, installation, alteration,

to, use or maintenance of heating, ventilating,
cooling, refrigeration systems, incinerators or
other miscellaneous heat-producing appliance in the
City of Kirby; providing for the issuance of

Ordinance No. 528 of the City of Kirby and all
other ordinances and parts of ordinances in

participation of the city in the supplemental death
benefits fund of the Texas Municipal Retirement
System, to provide certain in-service death
benefits for employees, and death benefits for
annuitants whose last employment before retirement
was with the city, and establishing an effective
date for the ordinance. This is the first
reading.

d. Discussion/possible action of Ordinance No. O-2007-
636 an ordinance of the City of Kirby repealing
Ordinance 92-486 regarding the speed limit on Swann
Lane and establishing a 25 mile per hour speed
limit on all streets within the City of Kirby,
Texas except Ackerman Road, Binz-Engleman Road,
Hedwig Street, Edalyn Street, Jaenke Street, Old
Seguin Road and State Highway 78, and providing for
penalties for violation of such 25 mile per hour
speed limit. This is the first reading.

e. Discussion/possible action of Ordinance No. O-2007-
637 adopting the 2006 Edition of the Uniform
Plumbing Code, Regulating and controlling the
design, construction, quality of materials,
erection, installation, alteration, repair,
location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use
or maintenance of any plumbing system, in the City
of Kirby; providing for the issuance of permits and
collection of fees therefore; providing for
enforcement and imposing penalties; repealing
provisions of Ordinance No. 596 of the City of
Kirby relating to the plumbing code and all other
ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
therewith. This is the first reading.

f. Discussion/possible action of Ordinance No. O-2007-
638 of the City of Kirby, adopting the 2006 Edition
of the Uniform Mechanical Code, regulating and
controlling the design, construction, quality of
materials, erection, installation, alteration,
repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition
to, use or maintenance of heating, ventilating,
cooling, refrigeration systems, incinerators or
other miscellaneous heat-producing appliance in the
City of Kirby; providing for the issuance of
permits and collection of fees therefore; providing
for enforcement and imposing penalties; repealing
Ordinance No. 528 of the City of Kirby and all
other ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict therewith. This is the first reading.

g. Discussion concerning removal of board member from
the Kirby Senior Center Corporation; take possible
action
