Criminal Investigations

The Criminal Investigations Department consists of two individuals of the Police Department specially trained and equipped to investigate crimes after they occur, and to handle critical incidents. Uniformed officers begin the investigation of cases. But often their evening or night shift assignments make it difficult or inconvenient to follow up with victims or witnesses. When possible, uniformed officers are encouraged to follow up on the reports they take.
